(whew!)….Thanks for being patient…

When inking – never, never ever ever ever ever ever EVER, use white out. I’ve been using more white ink lately, but last night I wanted to use something that would dry faster. Using the white out pen was a disaster…when it dried and I used my Faber Castell markers, I got a nasty, crumbled mess all over the page. I then grabbed the bottle of white out, and it was ever worse. The india ink turned into a big black blob over top of the dried white out from the bottle. Back to white ink…. In the amount of time it took for the white ink to dry, more time was wasted fighting with the white out. Lesson learned. >_<

Hey! It’s almost an hour until 2012…. O_o

This is going to be brief 2011 thingy, but…it has been a good year. As for what to expect for 2012…well, I’ll definitely be at FanExpo (see “Upcoming Appearances” in the sidebar). As far as other conventions and events, I won’t know until January if I’ll be at TCAF in May, and I’m thinking about Anime North (I know, this isn’t exactly manga, but someone mentioned it to me recently…why not think about it?). Some changes will be happening with the site after the New Year, so stay tuned… For those of you who didn’t know, I also colour flat comic books, and that’s still going well. I’ll explain what “flatting” is in another post…or Google will tell you.

Anyway, thank you to everyone for your support, for buying the comics, for taking interest in Cadaverific and my other toons and illustrations. See you again in 2012!

Filler 7: It’s a Sikotik World, “The Roundabout”

Hey there! Yes, I’m still alive.

I know, I know I said I was going to get this page online like, last week….obviously that didn’t happen.

By the time I had finished the script for “The Roundabout”, the motorcycle accident(s) happened, then the lawsuit story broke out shortly after, then everything else. In short, I made many revisions, just to keep up with the current info, and originally there were going to be 7 or 8 panels on the page. In the end, I got frustrated/annoyed, scrapped everything, and started over. It was more fun drawing that silly map anyway.

Alrighty, enough with the excuses. Coming up next time is season 8 of Cadaverific! Woohoo!
