Alrighty, so this December one of my friends Miroki Tong is putting on The G33k Art Show in Kitchener, Ontario. Basically, it’s a showcase that features sequential artists, illustrators, craftsmen of the sci-fi/fantasy/steampunk/alternative genres, musicians and even culinary artists. For those interested, applications are now available for download on Miroki’s website Jacques of Trades. Mark it on your calendars – the show will take place from December 16th-18th at The Kaufman Arts Studio.
And of course, yours truly will be there…

FanExpo 2011 was a success! Thank you to those who came by, browsed through my art, chatted, took my business card, and bought Cadaverific! Also, issues 2 and 3 are available at the Silver Snail in Toronto.
Also, thank you to my table mates of three years —> friends Miroki Tong, Matthew Ingraham, and Kat Taylor. I always have fun with you all! …Remember that time when we went out for dim sum?
Alrighty, going to bed (at 8:40 pm?..Lame!)…nighty night. Zzzzzzzzz…..

So in two weeks I’ll be heading out to Toronto for FanExpo again. This year I have issues #2 and #3 in print (Issue #1 will be available again), and I’ll have some art prints too. Also, the event is four days this year, from the 25th (Thursday) til the 28th (Sunday). If you’re in the area, come on out and say hi!
And, while you’re there, check out Matthew Ingraham’s and Miroki Tong’s art works/comic books too. Matt will be debuting Robot Jones Issue #1, and it looks pretty awesome. Just so you know… ***UPDATE: I’ll be at table A53-A55.***
Oh, I’ll be gradually tweaking the site during the month/when I have time to do so (e.g. the “Portfolio” gallery is a bit messed up – for now you can get the full image in the “flickr” link). Otherwise, I hope you like the changes so far.
Cheerio and all that.

I will be in the Artists’ Alley at FanExpo Canada again this year. This time, the event has been extended to 4 days (August 25th-28th). Mark it on your calendars! Working on cover ideas for issue #2. ^_^
In other news, I hope to get a new monitor this week (I think I mistakenly posted on my blog blog that the LED backlight burned out on my laptop – it was actually an LCD light). ALSO, completely random – but I was at a food convention last week in Toronto (SIAL), and it was quite the experience. Different product(s), but not so much different from a comic con. Definitely gave me a different perspective on the convention experience.
Happy Monday, and hope you all have a good week. Cheers!

For those in the Toronto area, you can now pick up a copy of “Cadaverific!” at The Silver Snail!
Don’t forget to check out Dragon Lady Comics on College Street and Carry-On Comics in Uptown Waterloo, they also carry issue 1!
I promise you, issue 2 will be in print this year. Working up some cover ideas….
